International speakers from Facebook, Sun Microsystems, Oracle, IBM, and Google, among others, will deliver case studies and presentations discussing best practices for localization and the impact of multilingual content on business success.
The conference, produced by Multilingual Computing and The Localization Institute, in cooperation with The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), will be held October 13-15th at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, in the heart of Madison near the University of Wisconsin.
The opening keynote will be delivered by Jeff Howe, contributing editor for Wired and US News & World Report magazines, and renowned author of "Crowdsourcing: Why the Power of the Crowd is Driving the Future of Business."
Localization is a vital function in vertical industries around the world, including high tech, health care, publishing, gaming and others. New topics introduced this year will expand appeal to the Midwestern audience, addressing agribusiness and manufacturing industries. Localization World Madison delivers comprehensive topics as well as networking opportunities for both beginners and experienced professionals involved in adapting products, services, or communications to an international language or culture to appear native to that particular region. Programs and exhibits are directed to both the customer side and service side.
