Netease Unveils New Logo for Youdao.com

BEIJING, Sep 19, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- NTES | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Netease.com on September 17 officially launched the new logo of Youdao.com, an emerging Chinese Internet search website under the aegis of Netease.

Ding Lei, chief executive officer of Netease.com, says that Youdao.com has recorded about 11 billion web pages. And it hopes to be a neutral, objective, and comprehensive Internet search provider.

Mr. Ding notes that the Internet services will be growing rapidly in the coming ten years based on the intelligent, localized and personalized search technologies.

And the competition will be getting fiercer and more standardized as a result. For Internet search service providers, they will be more open-minded on competition and cooperation.

The CEO points out that it will not be conductive to the long-term healthy sustainable development of the Internet search industry if some service providers take a partial attitude toward products and services of their rivals.

As for Youdao.com, the CEO says that it will focus on long-term development.
