AIG Vietnam in financial good health

Hanoi, Sep 19, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- AIG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- ? American International Group (AIG) Vietnam can totally ensure its self-payment ability and doesn?t suffer from the current financial difficulties besetting AIG in the US, stated the company.

In its report submitted to the Finance Ministry on September 19, the company revealed that AIG Vietnam?s total investment capital up to July 14 was 920 billion VND, with a payment ability of 229 percent compared with the Finance Ministry?s rules, and an investment interest of 9.64 percent per year.

AIG Vietnam?s general director, Terence R. Andersen, said that his company will continue strengthening the activities of risk management and ensuring customer?s interests.
