Penn West Energy Trust announces monthly cash dividend for September

Sep 22, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- PWTU | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Penn West Energy Trust (TSX: PWT.UN) (NYSE: PWE), an open-end investment trust, declared on 19 September its cash dividend of CAD0.34 per trust unit. The ex-distribution date is September 26, 2008. The payment will be made on 15 October 2008 to all unit holders of record on 30 September 2008. Prior to the deduction of any applicable Canadian withholding tax, CAD0.34 per unit is equivalent to around USD0.32 per unit, calculated at a current currency exchange of one Canadian dollar equals USD0.94. Unit holders registered with US addresses will receive their distributions from the company's transfer agent directly and be paid in USD on the record date as per the exchange rate. Non-registered US unit holders will be paid through their brokers.
