Global Semiconductor Alliance Announces Semiconductor Leaders Forum Taiwan 2008

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Sep 23, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ISIL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) announces the program for its fifth annual Semiconductor Leaders Forum Taiwan, which will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at the Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu. The theme of this year's event focuses on "Bridging the World," and will include keynote addresses from David Bell, president and CEO of Intersil, as well as Charles Kau, president of Inotera.

A full day of educational programming will also feature presentations from the following industry experts:

-- J.C. Lee, group president and chief executive officer, UTAC

-- Walden (Wally) Rhines, chairman and chief executive officer, Mentor Graphics Corporation

-- Jordan Wu, president and chief executive officer, Himax

The forum will begin with welcoming remarks from GSA co-founder and executive director Jodi Shelton and Dr. Nicky Lu, who serves as chairman of the GSA Asia Pacific Leadership Council, as well as chairman and CEO of Etron Technology.Additionally, the forum will feature a luncheon workshop focused on "Low Power Technology," sponsored by Cadence Design Systems.

Platinum sponsors for this year's event are TSMC and UMC.ARM is a gold sponsor for the event.

Through Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, online registration is complimentary for GSA members and NT$2,000 for non-members. On-site registration is NT$100 for GSA members and NT$2,100 for non-members.
