Mannatech Inc contributes USD10,000 for Hurricane Ike relief stations

Sep 24, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- MTEX | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Mannatech Inc (NASDAQ:MTEX), a developer and provider of dietary supplements and skin care solutions, said on 23 September that it has contributed USD10,000 of food and water as well as nearly 6,000 boxes of nutritional supplement productstowards Houston residents affected by Hurricane Ike. According to the company, a truck load of 5,400 pounds of relief supplies was also provided for the hurricane victims. In addition, the company worked with State Representative Senfronia Thompson to identify relief stations most in need. Additionally, five of its staff members travelled to north-east Houston to help distribute the supplies. MannaBears supplements and MannaBars nutrition bars were also selected for the children and adults affected by the hurricane.
