Initial deployment of the service, via the fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) Smart Grid network, being installed by EPB is expected by early 2009. It will be based on Alcatel-Lucent's Triple Play Service Delivery Architecture (TPSDA) which will power EPB's TV service delivery. Alcatel-Lucent will be responsible for the end-to-end network integration.
Total value of the contract is EUR45.5m.
