BRIEF: Expand Networks completes Orbotech deal: Expand Networks provided its WAN solutions to Orbotech facilities worldwide.

Sep 24, 2008 (Globes - McClatchy-Tribune News Service via COMTEX) -- ORBK | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Sep. 24--Expand Networks Ltd. has provided its Wide Area Network (WAN) optimization solution to automated optical inspection equipment maker Orbotech Ltd. (Nasdaq: ORBK). Teams from Expand and Taldor Communications Ltd. installed the system. Expand Networks did not disclose the size of the contract.

Expand Networks' solutions speed up traffic on MPLS and IP VPN networks. The systems are now installed at Orbotech facilities in Israel, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and the US.

Expand Networks VP global operations Zvi Bichler said, "The solutions we're providing Orbotech are unique for accelerating Oracle Applications and give priority to VoIP and Oracle over FTP transmission, in order to provide high data traffic performance on the network and enhanced user experience."
