Its ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.
"Customers are going to find stores laid out with convenience and comfort in mind," said Lisa Andersen, district manager for Kohl's.
The 88,000-square-foot store at 5205 University Parkway, is built to be "environmentally green." It employs about 150 people, officials said.
The store is among 15 Kohl store openings this fall in Florida, bringing the state total to 38.
The environmentally-friendly store has won certification for leadership in energy and environmental design from the U.S. Green Building Council, officials said.
