Unum Group to Release Third Quarter 2008 Results and Host Conference Call

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Sep 29, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- UNM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Unum Group (NYSE: UNM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) will release its third quarter results on Thursday, Oct. 30, at approximately 4 p.m. Eastern. The earnings news release and the financial supplement will be available in the Investors section of the company's website at www.unum.com, which can also be directly accessed at www.investors.unum.com.

Members of Unum Group senior management will host a conference call on Friday, Oct. 31 at 9 a.m. Eastern to discuss the results of operations for the third quarter.
