The Las Cruces average decreased a penny overnight to $3.542.
The Texas average decreased 1.3 cents overnight to $3.538, while the New Mexico average gained a half-cent to $3.58.
The national average declined a penny to $3.633.

--National award winners: EL PASO -- The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and CEO Cindy Ramos-Davidson won national awards Saturday at the annual U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's annual convention in Sacramento, Calif.
Ramos-Davidson was named the national Chamber Executive of the Year by the group, while the local Hispanic Chamber was selected as the national Large Hispanic Chamber of the Year.
During the summer, Ramos-Davidson and the El Paso Hispanic Chamber were named Region 3 winners in their categories.
"I'm flattered that the work we do for our Borderland small, minority- and women-owned businesses is recognized at a national level by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce," Ramos-Davidson said.

--Doubletree manager named: J. Curtis Noe has been appointed general manager for the Doubletree El Paso Hotel Don Quixote LP by Richfield Hospi tality.
Noe, former general manager of the El Paso Marriott, has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years.
"Curtis has a wealth of expertise
within the sales and operational arena, having been in regional food and beverage capacities as well as general manager positions," Steve Cook, vice president of Richfield Hospitality, said Tuesday in announcing Noe's appointment.
Noe's has worked with well-known hotel companies including Doubletree, Hilton Hotels, Marriott, Starwood and IHG.

--Rally for Realtors: EL PASO -- The Greater El Paso Associa tion of Realtors will have the 2008 Realtor Rally, "Magic on the Border," from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the convention center.
Realtor Rally is the largest annual area trade show for Realtors. More than 60 booths will provide business solutions for Realtors, who can attend seminars and networking events.
Daniel Pendley, a motivational speaker in the real estate industry and author of "The Power of the Plan -- The Ultimate Way to Achieve Your Goals in 90 Days or Less," will speak.

--Workshop for manufacturers: EL PASO -- A federal grant program that helps U.S. manufacturers hurt by foreign trade will be the topic of a workshop Thursday in El Paso.
An expert from the Southwest Trade Assis tance Center in San Antonio will explain the federal grant program. A Texas Agriculture Depart ment representative will talk about the Go Texan program, which promotes Texas agricultural products.
