The new in-dash or on-dash radios offer technology called Position Tracking, which charts the location of up to three other boats also using the Garmin radios.
The radios -- the VHF 100 and VHF 200 and two other models designed for the international market -- have 25 watts of transmit power, simple controls and weather alerts. The VHF has additional features for remote microphone use.
"These new radios share the same great features found in many other Garmin marine products, including large, easy-to-read displays, a simple user interface and an eye-catching design that complements any helm," said Dan Bartel, Garmin's vice president of worldwide sales.
Garmin said the radios would retail for $250 and $400.
