BJ's Restaurants opens new location in California

Oct 01, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- BJRI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- BJ's Restaurants has announced the opening of a new restaurant in Chino Hills, California.

The company said that the new restaurant is approximately 9,000sqft, contains seating for approximately 280 guests and features BJ's extensive menu that includes BJ's signature deep-dish pizza, handcrafted beer and Pizookie dessert.

Jerry Deitchle, chairman and CEO, said: "We are delighted to open BJ's in Chino Hills. Our new restaurant is located in a densely populated, mature trade area in our core southern California market, where the BJ's concept enjoys strong brand awareness and sales volumes.

"Our Chino Hills restaurant represents our 12th restaurant opening to date during 2008. We currently remain on track to open as many as three more restaurants before the end of the year and thereby achieve our stated goal to increase our operating weeks by 20% to 25% for the full year."
