GE Healthcare announces acquisition of Agility Healthcare Solutions

Oct 01, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- GE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- GE Healthcare, a provider of transformational medical technologies and services and a business division of General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), announced on Tuesday (30 September) that the company has acquired Agility Healthcare Solutions, a provider of products that transform hospital workflow and patient care management.

Agility's AgileTrac technology reportedly provides the most comprehensive enterprise resource management, asset tracking and clinical workflow solution in the healthcare industry.

Upon completion of acquisition, Agility will become part of GE Healthcare's global Diagnostic Imaging Services business.

This acquisition is expected to enable GE Healthcare to expand upon its offerings to help customers grow through patient-focused service delivery and asset optimisation solutions.

Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
