It will provide technical support for training programs to the Navy and other defense agencies that use the enter. It will also offer printed materials, interactive multimedia instruction, video services, interactive electronic technical manuals, electronic classrooms, distance learning, process mapping, simulation, and gaming and needs assessments.
The General Dynamics team includes AT&T Government Solutions, C2 Technologies, Corsair Engineering, Global Business Solutions, Intelligent Decisions Systems, John C Bucelato, Logistics Services International, MYMIC, Savannah State University, and University of West Florida.
Ken Slaght, vice president and general manager of Navy Systems Maritime Systems Sector at General Dynamics Information Technology, said: "NETPDTC delivers the knowledge necessary to satisfy fleet performance requirements that will improve fleet readiness of sailors and Marines. General Dynamics will provide learning tools and technical expertise that enable service members to develop to their fullest potential, both professionally and personally."
Earlier this month, the company won a five-year $25.7m contract from the US Naval Air Systems Command to provide program management services for the Swiss government's F/A-18 Hornet fighter fleet. It also won a seven-year $57m contract from the US Navy to provide operations and maintenance services, and a five-year $28.9m contract from the US Navy to provide a common network interface system.
