General Dynamics Wins $56.7 Million Army Contract For Machine Guns

(financialwire.net via COMTEX) -- GD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- October 3, 2008 (FinancialWire) -- The Army has awarded a $56.7 million contract to a division of General Dynamics Corp. (NYSE: GD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) for machine guns.

The contract, awarded Friday, is for MK19 grenade machine guns. Work will be done in Saco, Maine and is expected to be finished by February.

Shares of Falls Church, Va.-based General Dynamics fell $1.74 to close at $70.26 Thursday.
