Oct 03, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- NYT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Media company The New York Times (NYSE:NYT) announced on Thursday (2 October) that the company has entered into an agreement with The Santa Fe New Mexican to print The Times at their printing plant in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.

The company said that, under the agreement, which is effective in early October, The Times will be able to extend news stand and home delivery, both weekday and Sunday, to readers in the Santa Fe area. It will also be able to better serve existing markets in the surrounding area.

This is reportedly the third print site expansion the company has completed in 2008, following Dallas in January and Philadelphia in March.

With the addition of the Santa Fesite, The New York Times will now be printed at 25 locations in North America.
