Allegheny Technologies Incorporated reports changes in operation management

Oct 03, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- PMIZF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) (NYSE:ATI), a manufacturer and seller of speciality metals, said yesterday (2 October) that with immediate effect a number of executive organisational changes have been made in the manufacturing operations, in order to streamline the reporting relationships and leadership. The present Business Unit president of ATI Wah Chang, Lynn D Davis's responsibilities have expanded to the new position of group president for ATI Primary Metals and Exotic Alloys. Davis will continue to report to L Patrick Hassey, ATI's chairman, president and CEO, and will have the following operations report to him: ATI Wah Chang; ATI's Albany, or Titanium Operations; ATI's Richland, WA Electron Beam Titanium Operations; and ATI's Premium Titanium Sponge Operation located in Rowley, Utah, to be completed soon. The present VP of Operations at ATI Allvac, John D Sims, has been named Business Unit president, ATI Wah Chang and will report to Lynn Davis. The position of group president for ATI Long Products, newly created, has been added to the responsibilities of Hunter R Dalton, who remains Business Unit president of ATI Allvac and continues to report to Hassey. Terry L Dunlap takes over the newly created position of group president, ATI Flat-Rolled Products, while remaining Business Unit president of ATI Allegheny Ludlum and continuing to report to Hassey. Finally, David M Hogan continues to serve as group president of ATI Engineered Products and Business Unit president of ATI Metalworking Products, reporting to Hassey.
