--Martial arts seminar: EL PASO -- Fort Bliss MWR-Sports is offering a Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Seminar that is free to active duty Fort Bliss military. The seminars are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Stout Gym. The seminars are open to all levels and are divided into two-hour blocks with individuals and units signing up for times on a first-come, first-served basis.

--NFL broadcasts: EL PASO -- DirecTV's Sunday Ticket, which features games from the National Football League, will be offered each Sunday at the Down Under Sports Bar at the Officers' Club, Building 250 on Club Road, and at the Pub at the Centennial Club, Building 11199 on Biggs Army Air Field. Games begin at 11 a.m. and both venues offer snacks, beverages and weekly door prizes.

--Basket bingo: EL PASO -- To help raise money for the child care services of its students, the Army Family Team Building program will have its popular Basket Bingo event that features prizes at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center, Building 11199 on Biggs Army Air Field. Tickets may be purchased through any AFTB instructor or at ACS, Bldg. 2494 at Fort Bliss. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

--Quick Cupid: EL PASO -- Speed dating, in which the first 25 participating men and women will be matched up and rotated every three minutes, will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Centennial Club, Building 11199 at Biggs Army Airfield. Registration for the event, which is for adults 35 years old and younger, is from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and is free.

--Renovations: EL PASO -- Classes and computer access could be limited for the next several months at Army Community Service, where renovations are reshaping the decades-old building.
The Yellow Ribbon Room also will be under construction until further notice. The project for ACS is slated to run through March 2009.
--Furniture sale: EL PASO -- Tables, beds, sofas, cabinets and other furniture items are being sold by the Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
All transactions are either by cash or credit card with no exchanges or refunds. The sale is from 8 to 11 a.m. weekdays at Building 643 on Taylor Road on post. Buyers can also call 568-3779 or 568-4501 to preview items.
