They are the Manassas Fall Jubilee that will take place on the streets of Old Town Manassas and the Country Fair and Auctions on the grounds of the Youth for Tomorrow campus.
Historic Manassas Inc. will bring more than crafters and rides to the 26th annual Jubilee. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to witness two fast and furious "Chainsaw Chix" create works of art with merely a chainsaw.
Chainsaw artists Sara Winter of New York and Alicia Charlton of Canada will perform three, one-hour shows at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Center for the Arts. The finished pieces will be auctioned to the public at 3 p.m.
Acts on two stages will keep crowds entertained between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The Bandstand will be on Battle Street and will feature three bands -- The Back Porch Band, The Brandy Stills Band and Chillbilly -- playing a wide variety of bluegrass, classic and contemporary country music.
Miss Virginia National Teenager 2008 Shelby Elizabeth McIntosh will introduce performers on the Kid's Stage, which will be located in the BB&T parking lot. The event is a great way to get a head start on holiday shopping. The merchants, restaurants and galleries of Old Town will come out into the streets along with crafters, Virginia wineries, non-profit organizations and community information booths that hold raffles and drawings throughout the day. Visitors may find unique items such as reusable gift-wrap, handcrafted skincare products and homemade pure maple syrup. Children's activities will include a rock wall, a moon bounce, slide and a whirly gig, along with vendors.
At the Center for the Arts, children can meet Willy Wonka and Oompa Loopas as cast members of the Pied Piper Theater Company invite children to get their faces painted, take a trip through a miniature version of Wonka's famous chocolate factory and even taste samples from chocolatiers.

Founder and former Washington Redskins coach and NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs will be on hand to serve as host and assist with the live auction.
In addition to the nearly 50 fun activities for children, free parking and hundreds of items for bid in the live and silent auction tents and on the blind bid board, several new events have been added to increase the fun for children of all ages, including car shows.
Frontier Town will feature cowboys and horses, the Piscataway Indians, pony rides, a bungee bull ride, paint ball and a general store. The Sports, Fitness and Wellness area will offer a golf simulator, a nine-hole putting course, an opportunity to try out Wii fitness games, a rock climbing wall and health screenings.

The silent auction tent will give visitors an opportunity to bid on numerous autographed Redskins and NASCAR collectible items. Admission to the event is $10 for adults, $5 for children 17 and younger and no charge for children younger than 5. Food is available from some of the area's favorite vendors.
