IBM said Business Space provides a role-based collaborative BPM capability powered by WebSphere software to enable the monitoring of business objects and potential operational risks. It includes BPM Healthcheck to help clients identify strengths and shortcomings across different business processes. It also has plug-ins for WebSphere Business Modeler to allow users to import ideas from tools such as Visio, IDS Scheer, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
IBM also said it has upgraded WebSphere Dynamic Process Edition and WebSphere Process Server, and released new Product Lifecycle Management content packs and upgrades for IBM FileNet Active Content Edition.
Tom Rosamilia, general manager of IBM WebSphere, said; "Our clients are increasingly realizing that their key differentiators and competitive advantages are contained in their business processes. Businesses are asking for visibility into these business processes and the ability to change them on the fly or iteratively to drive continuous improvement, cost-savings, and innovation. IBM's BPM-powered SOA portfolio enables enterprises to look at and manage their business models in ways never before possible."
