SUGAR LAND, TX, Oct 06, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- JCI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Johnson Controls Incorporated (NYSE:JCI) (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), a major supplier to the automobile industry, has started construction of a $15 million automotive interior components manufacturing plant in West Point, Georgia. Site preparation has been completed and construction will begin next week on a 130,000-square-foot plant, located on 20 acres of land. The plant will produce seat systems and door panels for Kia vehicles manufactured at the new $1.2 billion Kia automotive assembly and manufacturing plant in West Point.
