Revenue passenger miles for American Airlines for the month decreased by 9.1% compared to September 2007, with available seat miles showing a decline of 7.0%, resulting in a load factor of 76.6%, a drop of 1.8 percentage points.
American Eagle reported a decrease in revenue seat miles for September 2008 of 17.2% compared to the same period last year, while available seat miles dropped by 9.9%. Load factor declined by 5.7 percentage points to 64.5%.
