September traffic announced by Northwest Airlines

Oct 06, 2008 (AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION via COMTEX) -- NWA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- A September consolidated (mainline and regional) load factor of 83.3%, 0.4 points below September 2007, has been announced by Northwest Airlines (NYSE:NWA).

The company also announced a mainline load factor of 84.8%, 0.3 points above September 2007.

During the month, Northwest and Northwest Airlink regional carriers flew 6.2bn consolidated revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and 7.45bn consolidated available seat miles (ASMs). This represents a traffic decrease of 0.5% and a capacity decrease of 0.1% as compared to September 2007.

In addition a total of 5.53bn mainline revenue passenger miles and 6.52bn mainline available seat miles where flown by Northwest in September 2008.
