Effective Oct. 6, Wilson will take responsibility for the Swiss insurer's global life underwriting strategies, standards and processes within its global life and health offices, the company said. He will report to Mario Greco, Zurich's chief executive for its global life unit.
Wilson, 56, comes most recently from the New York offices of American International Group, where he had served since 2002 as the chief underwriting officer for accident and health insurance with American International Underwriters.
Zurich Financial Services Group writes insurance globally through its subsidiaries.
