The Westmoore girls turned in a dominating performance in the girls' varsity competition, scoring 15 points to easily outdistance runner-up Sante Fe's 100. The Marlow girls were fourth with 126 points. The Sante Fe boys won with 21 points as Duncan was ninth and Waurika was 13th. Marlow ran as independents.
Billy Adamson led the way for the Duncan boys, coming in 32nd with a time of 19:53. Bryce Rowland also had a solid outing, finishing 49th with a time of 21:18.
"I was real pleased with what we did," Duncan coach Joe Harper said. "The young kids are getting stronger. There run better than I thought they would because they have been working so hard."
Rounding out the team placings were: 32. Andy Stewart, 21:28; 58. Adam Jech, 21:43; 57. Jacob Casmus, 22:25; 79. Charles Wolfe, 23:01; 83. Ren Contreras, 23:19.

"I was pretty pleased," Waurika coach Joe Masoner said. "I was looking for our times to improve a little big. You can take a couple of minutes off of our time on this course, we were right where we should have been."
Chelbe Deaton paced the Marlow girls, finishing 11th in a time of 13:43. Kelly Davis was 16th, with a time of 13:52 and Katie Fikes was 25th, crossing the line in 14:34.
"The girls did well today," Marlow coach Michelle Berryman said. "Our course is one of the most difficult in the state, so our times were a little slower. But that can be expected. We have run three races in the last week, so that could have contributed to our tired legs."
Duncan was led by Soledad Vargas, who finished 68th in a time of 15:25. Miranda Cassady was 65th, in a time of 16:52. Francesa Wolfe finished the race in 17:10 to place 68th and Rachel Funkhouser took 84th in a time of 22:30.
"We have some injuries and some sickness," Duncan coach Dale Harris said. "The girls did run up to their potential. It is a tough course and naturally, we wanted to come here and get some experience on the course and gain some confidence."
