(NYSE: DST | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) (Current Market Cap: US$2.43 Bil.) and the Boston Financial Data Services, Inc. JV it co-owns with State Street Corp. (NYSE: STT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) (Current Market Cap: US$17.25 Bil.) Metcalfe joined Boston Financial in September 2007 to help grow that organization's defined contribution services.

According to DST, DST Retirement Solutions was formed to meet the needs of defined contribution service providers. The new entity combines DST's Trac technology solution with Boston Financial's defined contribution full plan administration and recordkeeping unit.

Metcalfe's task as president is to lead the technology and servicing outsourcer, and market a range of servicing options for retirement plan providers. DST Retirement Solutions will offer a range of selective outsourcing options, including front- and back-office technology solutions for financial service organizations offering retirement plan recordkeeping for plans of any size.

Kansas City, Missouri-based DST Systems provides information processing and computer software products and services to support the mutual fund, investment management, insurance and healthcare industries.

Boston Financial Data Services, an outsourcing providers servicing the mutual fund and employer retirement plans markets, is a joint venture between DST Systems and Boston-based State Street.
