Wachovia, Citi, Wells Fargo to extend standstill agreement 10-8-08 Wachovia, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo will extend their standstill agreement on a lawsuit filed by Citigroup until 8 a.m. Eastern Friday, Wells Fargo said in a statement Wednesday. Citigroup had earlier filed a complaint against Wachovia and Wells Fargo seeking more than $60 billion in damages, claiming that it had exclusive rights and that Wachovia was not permitted to talk to anyone else after Wachovia rejected Citi in favor of Wells Fargo. The parties had previously agreed to cease formal discovery activities, and cooperate in good faith to preserve the status quo during the litigation standstill period.
