BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct 09, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- RF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE: RF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) today announced that it has cut its commercial prime interest rate to 4.50 percent effective October 8, 2008. The prime rate is the benchmark for many types of commercial and consumer loans and lines of credit. The prime rate last changed on April 30, 2008.
