According to the company, Airtel plans to extend its WiMAX network by using SR Telecom's symmetryMX platform. This purchase will support the deployment of one hundred base stations throughout Cameroon, allowing the operator to offer premium triple-play services to enterprise and residential subscribers. The rollout is expected to begin in December, with a targeted completion of July, 2009.
