The New York Times Company appoints Joseph N. Seibert as CIO

Oct 10, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- NYT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Media company The New York Times Company (NYSE:NYT) announced on Thursday (9 October) the appointment of Joseph N. Seibert as chief information officer. In his new role Seibert will report to James Follo, senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Seibert most recently served as chief operating officer of Marc Ecko Enterprises. Prior to that he was chief operating officer of Home Decor Products. Before that he served as chief information officer of GSI Commerce. Earlier he held various positions at CBS and Viacom, most recently chief information officer of Viacom.
