ViaSat announces additional MIDS delivery order from US Navy's SPAWAR

PowerRating -- ViaSat Inc (Nasdaq:VSAT), a provider of satellite and other digital
communication products, announced on Thursday (9 October) that the
company has been awarded an additional order valued at approximately
USD2.97m for Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS)
terminals from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).
The company said that the present order augments the USD59m Lot 9
delivery orders received by ViaSat as part of the MIDS annual Lot
procurements.
This new Lot 9 add-on is for LVT (11) ground-based Low Volume Terminals.
ViaSat is reportedly one of two US government-qualified manufacturers
of Link 16 MIDS airborne terminals and is the only qualified
manufacturer of the LVT(2) and LVT(11) ground-based terminals.
