Taseko Mines Limited announces change in fiscal year end

Oct 10, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- TKO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Taseko Mines Limited (TSX: TKO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) (AMEX: TGB), a mining exploration, development and production company, said on 9 October that it will change its fiscal year end to 31 December from its current fiscal year end of 30 September to align its fiscal year more closely with the industry standard.

This change will take place with immediate effect, with the October to December quarter being integrated into the new calendar year end.

The company said it will release its fourth quarter results to 30 September 2008 after the close of market on 6 November and will host a conference call to discuss the results on 7 November at 11:00 Eastern Time.
