Vodafone careful on Christmas 3G offer

Oct 13, 2008 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- VOD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Vodafone will continue to promote its third generation (3G) mobile network through the Christmas period even though, at 13 October 2008, the network only covers 63%. The network upgrade that was expected in mid-December 2008 has been postponed to early 2009. Vodafone's Andy Reeves said that the company wanted to err on the side of caution. Coverage can be an important selling point.
