No reasons were cited for his resignation.
The company said that Scarpa will not be replaced and that his responsibilities will be divided among the senior management team. The company also announced that Andy Warren has been promoted to the post of executive vice president, chief financial officer.
As EVP Warren will add Logistics, Information Systems, Financial Operations, Special Sales, Distribution and Liz Claiborne Canada to his current role.
Global Sourcing will also report directly to William L. McComb, chief executive officer of the company.
