For the third quarter only, the company got operating revenue of CNY 19.33 billion, but suffered net loss of CNY 2.16 billion, compared with earnings of CNY 1.56 billion in the same period of 2007. The basic earnings per share for Q3 were negative CNY 0.18.
Notably, the company's non-operating revenue in the third quarter soared 686.71% from a year earlier, mainly due to the loan interest subsidies that several its power stations got from local governments for coal purchase and the compensation for shutting down power stations. Its non-operating expenditure also grew 98.26% year over year, mainly due to the donation for the quake-hit areas.
