Winter will work closely with Joanna Sammartino-Bailey, New York senior vice president general manager, to build the client base and office culture.
"Landing a strategic, passionate executive like Michael--who has extensive experience working in our industry and a proven track record of success--is a huge win for Moxie," said Kris Zagoria, founder and CEO at Moxie Interactive. "His cross-functional expertise in media planning, negotiations, team management and analysis will be a great asset for our clients and our expanding New York office."
Prior to joining Moxie, Winter was media director at Agency.com, an interactive agency that creates marketing campaigns and designs Web sites, where he increased the department's profitability 15 percent in one year and managed such accounts including British Airways, and Del Monte Foods, among others. Before Agency.com, Winter served as vice president, media director at Beyond Interactive, a WPP-owned agency; worked as an independent media and marketing consultant; and held management positions at Digitas, USWeb (formerly SiteSpecific) and Grey Advertising/Media.com.
In addition to Winter's appointment, Moxie has promoted two other individuals within the company. Andrew Lovasz has been elevated to vice president, search director, where he will be in charge of refining the agency's natural and paid search offerings. Additionally, Chris Pickett was recently promoted to serve as Moxie's vice president, technology. In his post, Chris will run the Verizon Internet sales and marketing account.
