In the Trade Alert, the author highlights Evergreen Solar's two new long-term sales contracts:
"Evergreen Solar Inc. (ESLR) shares slipped 3.68% to $3.14 Friday morning, retracting from yesterday's climb up the chart. Evergreen Solar develops, manufactures and markets solar power products primarily in Europe and the United States. ... The company recently announced it has signed two new long-term sales contracts totaling more than 160 MW, which extended the company's total contractual backlog to more than 1 GW. One of the recent contracts is with Mainstream Energy Corp. and AEE Solar Inc., a leading wholesale distributor in North America; and the other is with one of the top-tier general trading companies in Japan. Under these contracts, shipments will begin in 2009 and continue through 2012."
The Trade Alert author also featured Solarfun's three-year supply agreement with Q-Cells International:
"Solarfun Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (SOLF) shares retracted from yesterday's 15% hike, down 3.44% to %5.61 Friday morning. Solarfun, through its subsidiaries, engages in the development, manufacture, and sale of photovoltaic (PV) cells and PV modules. ... With a three-year supply agreement recently entered into with Q-Cells International, Solarfun shall deliver modules according to Q-Cells design and specifications. As agreed, Q-Cells International intends to purchase from Solarfun a minimum of 100 MW of PV modules per annum using PV cells supplied by Q-Cells from 2009 through 2011. Further, both parties intend to complete an agreement whereby the companies will cooperate to further enhance the development of highly efficient and low cost PV solar modules."
