Nov 08, 2008 (The Sun - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- SCI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Kammann Mortuary, 795 W. 28th St., has a new name to reflect its new focus on family services, especially to the Hispanic community, said manager Albert Lee Jr. As of Nov. 1, the longtime funeral home is now Funeraria del Angel.

"It's the same ownership and the same people," said Lee, who has been with the funeral home for 30 years. The current owner is Service Corp. International.

The changes include offering 24-hour visits, home visits and a hospitality room in hopes of providing a more comfortable experience for grieving families, one that's more in keeping with Hispanic traditions, Lee said.
