Seattle (+8) at Miami Noon Miami, 24-10
Miami LB Joey Porter leads the league in sacks (11 1/2) and trash talking (constant). Seattle is so bad that he picked fights with players on two other teams this week.
St. Louis (+9) at NY Jets Noon NY Jets, 27-17
The Rams, who responded to interim coach Jim Haslett's promotion with two straight wins, have reverted to previous form.
Tennessee at Chicago (+3) Noon Tennessee, 20-10
If Rex Grossman has to start for the Bears, this could really get ugly. The Titans lead the league with 13 interceptions.
Green Bay (+2 1/2) at Minnesota Noon Minnesota, 20-16
Brett Favre never played well at the Metrodome. Aaron Rodgers, who is playing despite a sore throwing shoulder, will struggle in his first start there.
Jacksonville at Detroit (+6 1/2) Noon Jacksonville, 17-10
The Jaguars avoid the embarrassment of losing to a previously winless team two straight weeks, which should ease the tension in the Jacksonville meeting rooms.
New Orleans (+1) at Atlanta Noon Atlanta, 27-24
Remember what a great job Sean Payton did turning around the Saints in his first season as a head coach? What Mike Smith has done in Atlanta is more impressive.
Buffalo (+3 1/2) at New England Noon New England, 24-17
Bills second-year QB Trent Edwards has suddenly become turnover prone the last couple of weeks. Bill Belichick will make sure that trend continues.
Baltimore at Houston (pick) Noon Baltimore, 20-17
Houston's Sage Rosenfels went 4-1 as a starting QB last season, so Matt Schaub's injury doesn't doom the Texans. But the Ravens are rolling.
Carolina at Oakland (+9 1/2) 3:05 p.m. Carolina, 30-10
The Raiders are the most expensive mess in NFL history. Getting rid of DeAngelo Hall after eight games (and $8 million) just makes Al Davis look more foolish.
Indianapolis (+3 1/2) at Pittsburgh 3:15 p.m. Pittsburgh, 24-20
The Colts are a low-key version of the Cowboys: a team expected to be a Super Bowl contender with long odds of making the playoffs.
Kansas City (+15) at San Diego 3:15 p.m. San Diego, 31-21
The Chiefs have been competitive the last couple weeks, but LaDainian Tomlinson will have his best game of a disappointing season against a bad defense.
NY Giants (+3) at Philadelphia 7:15 p.m. NY Giants, 24-21
The Giants, who have won five of six against the Eagles, will do suddenly friendly rival Dallas a favor by handing Philadelphia its fourth loss.
San Francisco (+9 1/2) at Arizona 7:30 p.m., Monday Arizona, 35-10
How did this dud of a game end up on Monday Night? Maybe ESPN can spice things up by broadcasting Mike Singletary's halftime speech.
Last week / season
Straight: 8-5 / 63-48
vs. line: 7-6 / 56-63-2
