This Monday, 10th November, 2008, Fairborne Energy Ltd. Reported Record Quarterly Production and Cash Flow. Third quarter production averaged 14,454 BOE per day, an increase of 10% over second quarter 2008, consisting of 62.6 MMcf per day of natural gas, 3,892 bbls per day of oil and natural gas liquids and 129 tonnes per day of sulphur. Production from the Grand Banks' acquisition, which closed June 12, 2008, has increased 45% with all of the increase coming from successful horizontal drilling at Sinclair, Manitoba and Kingsford, Saskatchewan.
With current production in excess of 16,500 BOE per day, and 800 to 1,000 BOE per day of behind pipe production awaiting tie in, Fairborne expects to deliver significant production growth through the balance of the 2008-2009 drilling season up to spring breakup. Drilling activities for the remainder of 2008 include 4 rigs focused mainly in the core areas of Sinclair, Manitoba and Harlech, Alberta with capital spending for the fourth quarter expected to be approximately $45 million.
