According to Nortel, its CDMA Enhanced 1X technology will enable CTC to provide voice service and mobile multimedia applications, such as web browsing, e-mail, instant messaging, picture messaging, gaming along with advanced data services, to an increasing customer base.
The company will supply Enhanced Base Station Controllers and Base Stations, which have been designed and built to significantly reduce power consumption, with unique innovations in Power Amplifiers and Transceivers, as part of CTC's network upgrade.
