The company's fourth quarter net earnings rose to $41.1 million,or 90 cents per share, in the fourth quarter ended Sept. 30, up from $12.2 million or 46 cents per share. Sales rose to $873.5 up from $608.2.
The Post acquisition boosted earnings per share by 18 cents for the quarter. The results benefited from the seasonally strong sales and earnings of Post Foods during August and September, the company said.
A 44 percent rise in the company's revenues also reflect higher pricing in response to rising input costs and volume gains in some operating segments.
