As part of the Boeing team, ViaSat is developing protected communication equipment that is designed to provide the US Government with secure strategic and tactical communications. The award, valued at approximately over USD28m, adds additional technical requirements and hardware units to the ViaSat subcontract.
ViaSat said that the company has completed two major FAB-T programme deliveries. Prototype acceptance testing and delivery to the US Air Force is complete as part of the Boeing team FAB-T terminal delivery. The engineering development model hardware and software have also been delivered to Boeing.
