The agreement gives Delta Medical Promotions the exclusive rights to sell BioGaia's probiotic drops in Kazakhstan and BioGaia's probiotic tablets in Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
Delta Medical Promotions already sells BioGaia's probiotic drops in Ukraine.
"We have been positively surprised by the rapid success that we have achieved in the Ukrainian market. This agreement means that the BioGaia's brand will be exposed in yet another market and that we can offer a broader product line in these countries," commented Peter Rothschild, president of BioGaia.
BioGaia, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, develops and sells probiotic products solutions based on the probiotic bacillus Lactobacillus reuteri. The company has 39 employees and reported net sales of SEK106.6m in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.39 Swedish kronor (SEK).
