The company's revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2009 was $52.29 million, compared to $28.88 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2008. Marine freight revenue increased by 45.9% to $32.3 million from $22.2 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2008.
For the six months ended September 30, 2008, the company reported a net income of $7.1 million, or $0.52 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $1.84 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, in the same period of fiscal 2008. Revenue for the first six months of fiscal 2009 was $95.69 million, compared to $54.11 million in the prior-year period.
