Gregory Yates, 37, was pronounced dead at The Medcial Center of Central Georgia shortly after the 9:40 p.m. accident, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
Yates was traveling westbound in front of the Kroger shopping center near Wesleyan College when he hit a Honda Accord driven by Kelvin Stanley of Macon, the release stated.
Stanley and his passenger were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are trying to determine what caused the accident.
