Agile product managers are told to prioritize backlogs based on ROI. In practice, this isn't possible. Prioritizing for Profit is Enthiosys's alternate approach. By defining a core set of attributes that include stakeholder preferences, corporate strategy, and specific ways to increase profitability, product managers can create backlogs that support the company's longer-term goals as well as short-term development needs.

What: "Agile Roadmapping" -- Scott Gilbert, President, Enthiosys & Jeff Brantley (Director, Product Mgmt, Borland)
When: Friday, November 14th, 2008 -- 1PM EST
Where: WEBINAR (http://www.enthiosys.com/news-events/gilbert-brantley-roadmapping/)
Roadmapping is a critical planning process, and becomes even more strategic as teams move to Agile. Scott Gilbert will present the essential elements of a market-driven roadmap--including segments, market events and rhythms, technical architectures, and release timing. Jeff Brantley will talk about how Borland has applied these techniques to their own internal planning.
Scott Gilbert is president of Enthiosys. Scott is an expert in Agile software product management, business planning, project management and business development. He has worked in a variety of high-tech sectors including enterprise software, aerospace and defense, satellite communications and interactive media. For Technology Ventures Corp. he provided consulting services to early-stage technology startups and helped his clients raise more than $11 million in venture and angel capital.
