MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov 15, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AGIL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Enthiosys:

What: "Prioritizing for Profit"

Who: Luke Hohmann, CEO, Enthiosys.

When: Friday, November 7th, 2008

Where: WEBINAR (http://www.enthiosys.com/news-events/nov-hohmann-prioritizing-profit/)

Agile product managers are told to prioritize backlogs based on ROI. In practice, this isn't possible. Prioritizing for Profit is Enthiosys's alternate approach. By defining a core set of attributes that include stakeholder preferences, corporate strategy, and specific ways to increase profitability, product managers can create backlogs that support the company's longer-term goals as well as short-term development needs.

What: "Who Does What in An Agile Project?"

What: "Business Model Impact on Software Architectures"

Where: A-redev, MalmA, Sweden

When: November 17-18, 2008

In one Oredev session, Luke Hohmann reviews case studies drawn from Enthiosys client consulting engagements, exploring the relationship between Product Owners and Project Managers in IT-centric Agile project teams, and Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and Project Managers in Product-Centric Agile Teams.

In a second session, Luke Hohmann will review the seven most common ways that software related product and service offerings make money and how each of these affect software architectures. He will explore business requirements for software architecture, how to structure solutions for maximum value, and the role of Digital Rights Management.

Luke Hohmann is Founder and CEO of Enthiosys. Luke is a recognized expert on Agile product management and author of three books on innovation, software product management and Agile development. He pioneered Innovation Games(R) to help companies collaborate with their customers and gather insights into product priorities.

What: "Agile Roadmapping" -- Scott Gilbert, President, Enthiosys & Jeff Brantley (Director, Product Mgmt, Borland)

When: Friday, November 14th, 2008 -- 1PM EST

Where: WEBINAR (http://www.enthiosys.com/news-events/gilbert-brantley-roadmapping/)

Roadmapping is a critical planning process, and becomes even more strategic as teams move to Agile. Roadmaps bridge the gap between "our next release" and three year corporate vision so that product teams can address the fuzzy twelve-to-twenty month gap. Scott Gilbert will present the essential elements of a market-driven roadmap--including segments, market events and rhythms, technical architectures, and release timing. Jeff Brantley will talk about how Borland has applied these techniques to their own internal planning.

Scott Gilbert is president of Enthiosys. Scott is an expert in Agile software product management, business planning, project management and business development. He has worked in a variety of high-tech sectors including enterprise software, aerospace and defense, satellite communications and interactive media. For Technology Ventures Corp. he provided consulting services to early-stage technology startups and helped his clients raise more than $11 million in venture and angel capital.
