According to the company, the new release adds support for the Eclipse platform, including the new ILOG JViews Graph Layout, which offers native integration with the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF), Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF)and Graphical Editing Framework (GEF).
The new version also adds integration with the most popular Ajax and PPR (Partial Page Rendering) frameworks, including ICESoft's ICEFaces and its Ajax push technologies, Apache Trinidad, JBoss Rich Faces Ajaxand Facelets for the creation of collaborative web application servers and portals. The integration enables developers to create next-generation Rich Internet Applications (RIA) using ICEfaces Ajax push technologies faster, maintain them and manage complex coding more easily.
The new JViews 8.5 product suite will be available in December 2008. No pricing details were disclosed.
