Diebold offers mobile banking through strategic alliance with ClairMail

Nov 20, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- DBD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Diebold, a provider of self-service delivery and security systems and services, has announced that it is providing ClairMail's two-way mobile platform, as an integral part of its total outsourcing strategy, through a strategic alliance with ClairMail.

In the agreement, Diebold will distribute and provide managed services for ClairMail's two-way mobile platform, which can be deployed either on premise or as a managed service.

Diebold said that offering ClairMail's two-way mobile platform in conjunction with the company's comprehensive outsourcing solution offers financial institutions a proven, cost-effective approach to adding another channel to their customer access infrastructure.

Charles Ducey, Jr, senior vice president of global development and services at Diebold, said: "Today's banking customers appreciate having options that allow them to conduct their business, anywhere, at any time. Diebold's mobile banking technology literally places these options at their fingertips, which goes a long way in enhancing customer satisfaction and, ultimately, in strengthening relationships."
